Are you using the right cleanser & moisturiser?

Not sure if your using the right cleanser or moisturiser

In two very simple but important steps I show you how to determine if you’re using the right cleanser & moisturiser. Did you know the average Australian women spend $3600 per year on beauty products. So stop wasting money on useless skincare products.

Also check out The Age Fix- How to Look Ten Years Younger by a leading Plastic surgeon. Telling you which beauty products actually work.

Cleanser & Moisturiser

Ist step Cleanser Test

Wash your face with a gentle cleanser about a 10 cents size. Do this first thing in the morning. Pat dry with  soft towel. Now sit down where it’s not too hot or cold for about an 30 to 60 mins. Then look and feel your skin.

  • Normal skin – has no oiliness or flakiness
  • Combination skin – has oil on your T-Zone, large pores and dryness
  • Oily skin – has oil on most areas & large pores. Foaming or Gel cleansers are great for N/C/O/A
  • Acne Prone skin – has breakouts, oiliness, redness, sensitive and or dryness. Use AM a gentler cleanser. Then PM a more deeper cleanser.
  • Dry Skin – has some flakiness, tightness and small pores. S
  • Sensitive skin – has some redness, rashes or itching. Always use a Sunblock
  • Mature skin – is usually over 40 yrs, fine lines, wrinkles and or sagging skin. Also can be slightly oily/dry/sensitive. Cream or Lotion Cleansers are ideal for N/D/S/M skin types

Basically if your skin feels ok you have normal skin. If it feels tight it’s probably dry. Or if it tends to feel oily or looks shiny its oily skin. But if you have both then you might have combination skin. Dont forget  Summer and Winter your skincare routine will change.

2nd Step Moisturiser test

Next apply your moisturiser usually about a 10 cents size. Again basically if your skin feels ok it’s normal. For Mature skins check out 3 most important Anti-Ageing ingredients your moisturiser should always have

  • Normal skin – your moisturiser should not feel heavy or leave you feeling tight
  • Oily skin – it shouldn’t leave a greasy feeling. Gel or Non-Comedogenic moisturiser are ideal for O/C/A skins
  • Combination skin – it shouldn’t feel greasy on your t-zone or tight in other areas.  Apply less to your oilier areas and more to drier areas
  • Acne Prone skin –  similar to combination skin not a heavy feeling on oilier areas or tightness on drier areas. First apply your acne treatment before your moisturiser.
  • Dry Skin – it should absorb straight into the skin & relive any dryness.
  • Sensitive skin – it shouldn’t leave skin irritated, stingy or red. Spritz throughout the day with a Moisturising Spray
  • Mature skin – Similar to normal skin type your moisturiser should not feel heavy or leave you feeling tight. Ideal to use a treatment serum first.  Mature skin can also be slightly C/O/D/S as well

If after your 2nd step you’re still not certain of your skin type. Book yourself a Salon or Mobile Facial Treatment. Then your therapist can diagnose your skin type. If you’re having a facial before a special occasion coming up allow a week before your Beauty Treatment. Espically if you have allergies or sensitive skin. Or having extractions done.

Cleanser & Moisturiser

Don’t forget your Eye and Lip Treatments

Remember your Eyes and Lips need attention too. A good Eye or Lip treatment is vital. As your skin is the thiniest on your eye area. Always lightly cleanse your eye area. For small bumps under the eyes use a gentle scrub. When using your face scrub always include your lips.

Moisturising only ever use an Eye Cream. To soften fine Lines and wrinkles try an Eye or Lip Mask. Include your lip area when moisturising your face. If you have dark circles just give yourself a regular mini eye massage to increase blood circulation. For those thin top lips try a good Lip Plumping product to increase the volume

4 Easy Home Massage Techniques helps Wrinkles & Acne

Soften fine lines, reduce acne with simple Home Massage Techniques

I will show you 4 quick Facial Massage techniques, which you can easily do at home. By regularly combining it with your skincare routine. You will get even better results. A Facial Massage will not only reduce tension and tiredness in your face. As well giving you a more youthful appearance and it’s such an easy Anti-Aging technique. Facial Massage will also improves circulation and help unblock toxins in your pores. Reducing breakouts, millia and acne. As well as achieving a more healthy glow

Everyday Facial Home Massage techniques for reducing wrinkles

Get into the habit with your skincare routine to add these 4 easy anti-aging massage movements.  When you moisturise never use downward strokes. As that can drag and stretch your skin causing eventual sagging. Always use across or upward strokes. With regular Facial massage you can depuff your eyes, soften forehead lines, define your cheeks and firm your jaw lines.

Facial Massage that might actually help improve your acne

Just like an aging skincare routine. By adding these 4 acne reducing massage techniques  on a regular basis. You not only help your skin but your Scrubs and Masks will work much better for you.  By boosting your circulation you rid your skin of toxins. Relaxing your face also decreases your stress levels. Which is good for Acne causing hormones. Also try a  chocolate mask  it’s a great detoxifying and balancing mask for Teenage Acne

Acne-Facial-Home-Massage-Techniques

Step one: Define jawline

With your index finger and thumb, pinch the skin along your jawline. Starting from the center of the chin and going outward to just below your ears. For anti-aging this works to unclog the lymph nodes. Reducing sagging along the jaw and under your chin. Use small little pinches. Try this great Facial Massage an  Indian Head Massage. Includes upper back, shoulders, neck, scalp and face.

For Acne this will clear any congestion in the skin tissue and pores. Causing swelling and inflammation. Use slightly bigger pinches.

Anti-Aging-Facial-Massage-Techniques

Step 2: Lift your cheekbones

Take your index and middle finger and push up under your cheekbones towards your temples. For anti-aging use more firm kneading massage motions. This drains the toxins in the muscles and tissues. Doing this about 10 times back and forth daily. With this technique in a few weeks your cheeks will start looking more defined.

For Acne finish by pinching the fleshy part of your cheeks.  This increases your circulation. leaving you with a healthier glow. For teenagers make sure they have a good skincare routine

Step 3: Soften Lines

Place your thumb at your temples and three middles fingers on  the middle of your forehead. Using circular movements move out towards your temples. For anti-aging do for 60 seconds. This stimulates Collagen to helps minimizes lines, Which helps keep your skin tight and taut.

For Acne this also helps increase circulations and flush out toxins

Step 4: Depuff your eyes

Using your index fingers on the inner corner of your eye to the outer corner of your eyes. For anti-aging do this when using your  eye cream with a light pressured sweeping motion. Then from underneath the eyebrow to one end. To top of the eyebrow to the other end. Do about 10 rotations going slightly firmer. This help push excess fluids out, also decreases puffiness

For Acne do a more pressing motions. Helps pump out lymphatic fluids and lessens dark circles

How to change your Home Beauty Routine from Winter to Summer

Why you need to change your Skincare routine seasonally

Your Home Beauty routine needs to change from Winter to Summer. With drastic changes in temperature. Your skin feels the effect from the cold Wintery winds to the hot Summer days.

If you live a in a very hot climate like Queensland Australia. You know that we sweat a lot in Summer time. So our pores block up a lot more with oil, sweat, dirt and pollution.

Our Winters even though are not very cold at all. Our windy days can be very drying on our skin. So what exactly do you need to change when it comes to your Home Beauty Routine

Your Winter Skincare Routine

  • Cleansing – If you normally use a cleansing gel for Summer. Try a cleansing cream for Normal to Dry skin. Maybe just washing your face once a day. For oily to combination skins try a cleansing lotion. You can wash your face twice day if you still need to
  • Scrub – Same as above but opt for a gentler version of your Summer scrub. Or reduce exfoliating your skin once a week for normal to dry skins. For oily to combination skin types reduce exfoliating to once or twice a week.
  • Moisturising – You might find the Winter winds can be very drying on your skin. So if you usually use a oil free moisturiser in Summer. For normal to dry skin use a c moisturiser cream. For oily to combination skins try a moisturising lotions.

Home Beauty skincare and makeup tips for Winter

Don’t forget your night time routine. Your face Serum and or Night cream can really add that extra moisture needed. Make sure your products include these 3 best Anti-Aging ingredients

Your eyes and lips need extra hydration too. If you usually use an Eye Gel try an Eye cream or serum. For lips always keep a chapstick and or lip moisturiser handy

If your still feeling a little dry add a rehydrating Mask. Try once maybe twice a week. Also be careful with long hot showers as that can dry you skin out even more.

As well is your Foundation you might look at changing.  For normal to dry skins try a cream or liquid foundation. Oily and combination you might need to still need use an oil free foundation if you aren’t suffering with drier skin

Really nourish your skin with our Mobile Beauty Mango Facial

  • For extra hydration for winter book our Rehydrating Home Beauty Facial starting with a gentle a double cleansing. Then a gentle scrub, followed by a Passionfruit Peel with steamed warm towel
  • Afterwards a nourishing Mango Mask with a Apricot Eye Mask. Whilst that is a drying a Neck & Shoulder Massage with a Pineapple & Orange infused oil

Stressful Pregnancy here’s a simple way to switch off

Next time you are doing something say showering try some Mindful Meditation. Just focus exactly on how everything feels. The water, pressure, the warmth, where its flowing even if its only for 5mins

Another way great way is when you having home pregnancy massage focus on you therapist massaging your muscle, Concentrate on every muscle how it feels, quite sore or not very sore

Now feel the different pressure is it very uncomfortable or just tender. You will enjoy your massage more & you will be more relaxed mentally as physically
Add on a soothing Facial Treatment  or pretty Pedicure too
