Main causes of Back Pain in Summer 

Traveling – Back pain can be caused by sitting in a car for long hours. Or sleeping on a different mattress or pillow. 

Sporting Events and Activities – Sitting on stadium seats for long periods. Walking and standing for long hours at Amusement Parks

Summer thongs and Strappy dressesWearing flat thongs doesn’t give your poor back any support. Or wearing those pretty summer strappy tops or dresses without a bra is not ideal. Especially if your a cup C or higher this can cause you constant back pain

Gardening – Being hunched over gardening for hours wont help your back either

Solutions for Back Pain when Traveling

If you’re sitting for long hours make sure you take a break frequently and stretch. A rolled up towel is very helpful for your neck or lower back. Just roll up it up very tightly and secure with at least 6 rubber bands. Also to prevent further back pain I always use my favourite spikey massage ball it works wonders. Fantastic if your Pregnant just position between your back and the car seat. Then just roll up and down for your own mini Pregnancy Massage 

As well sleeping at relatives or hotels on a different mattress can play havoc with your back. If a mattress is too hard, then easy just put some blankets or quilts over the mattress. For soft mattresses you could try a few more rolled up towels. Otherwise last resort might just be the floor.

I never go anywhere without my own Hilton Memory Foam Contour Pillow. I need a very firm pillow and mattress. So if the pillow your lying on is too soft use a rolled up towel for under your neck it will definitely help. But if you wake up with a stiff neck or back pain now is a good time book yourself a Mobile Massage 

Sporting Events and Gardening be aware

If you find sitting for Sporting Events for long periods causes back pain then bring something along for support. If you can bring your own fold up chair, pillow, tightly roll up towel or spikey massage ball. Of course get up often as you can and walk around and stretch.

Going to Amusement parks walking long hours, you need to take breaks. Standing in a queue if it takes too long maybe just give it a miss. Or take turns waiting in lines. Also watch your neck in some of those super fast rides like a the roller coasters.

Be careful gardening in the same position for long particularly if you already suffer with lower back pain. Vary what you do from weeding, planting or raking, So your constantly changing positions. If you do pull a muscle rest as soon as possible with heat or cold and muscle cream. Or get yourself booked in for a Deep Tissue Massage

Summer Thongs and Strappy Tops you need Back Support there too

Make sure you have thick supportive thongs. Otherwise don’t walk for long hours in thin thongs. Sinking into those thin thongs puts extra pressure on your back and legs.

Even wearing thin strappy dresses or tops without a bra is no good for your back. If you’re a C cup or more make sure you always wear a supportive bra for preventive back pain.  You should have medium to thick straps with no gaps between your cups and chest. Also your bra should not be digging into your skin but sitting comfortably. 

Years of not wearing a supportive bra can cause Chronic Back pain.  Try Remedial Massage combined with Chinese Cupping for Chronic areas. For in between Massages  use your spikey Massage balls
