How does a Gel Polish Salon Manicure work ?

Filing, Cuticles, Buffing & Polish. This a basic or express Gel Polish & is applied similar to regular polish. But is cured under a Gel Led Lamp usually taking 30 seconds to dry. So there is no smudging, chipping or fading.

It can go straight on your bare nails. Or straight over your Acrylics or Gel Nails too. Most Gel Polishes have no hash chemicals in them these days.

As Gel Polish can be a bit drying for your nails you should massage your hands & nails everyday. Lasting 2 or 3 weeks you then should remove the polish. Either professionally or you can do it at home it’s quite easy only take 10-15 mins.

Best Tips for Salon Gel Polish

Gel Polish removal with cotton pad soaked in pure Acetone.
Apply to nail wrapped tightly with foil for 15 mins gently scrape off
Never pick or peel as this can weaken your nails
Don’t leave on longer than 3 or 4 weeks as you can stain your nails
If having regularly have a break every 3 or 4 months to let nails breath off

3. Is SNS Nail Polish better than Gel ?

SNS which stands for Signature Nail System and Gel Polish are both good options. SNS takes a little longer & lasts a little longer. But does cost a little more than a Gel Mani. Just be aware of possible hygiene with with dipping your nails in the same pots as others.

A SNS Manicure starts off Filing, Cuticles, Buffing, Base Coat, Coloured Dipping Powder & Top Coat. A gel based coat is applied. Then dipped in colour pots and sealed with a top coat and air-dried.

4. Are Acrylic Fake nails safe?

Acrylic nails are a fake nail or extended tip. It’s ideal for weak nails & bad nail biters. Or if you would just long nails for that special occasion. Acrylics are thicker and will last longer than Gel Nails. But long-term use increase your chances of weakening your nails. Also you always have to be careful of bacteria or infections

Acrylic Manicure includes trimming, cuticles, base primer, tips glued on & or Acrylic applied, buffing, air-dried & colour applied under the led lamp.

5. Gel Nails is it a more natural Fake Nail?

They do have less toxic chemicals in them and don’t have a strong smell like Acrylics. With a lighter feel & more look. But they do cost more than Acrylics but don’t last as long.

Every shower time exfoliate your feet.

This will get rid of the top layer of dead skin.
Or make a DIY scrub with a quality Himalayan or Sea Salt. Then combine with Olive, Coconut or Almond oil to make a smooth paste
Straight after use a pedi file or pumice stone to get rid of the bottom layer of dead skin.
If your heels are still very dry. As well use a good quality Callous remover.
Or try Be Natural Callous Remover.
This is a great product if consistently used. Wrap a wet paper towel after apply the solution. Then wrap feet in glad wrap.

What to try for Dry Cracked Heels

Still do all our tips above first.

Then for very cracked skin use a good quality heel cream. Try Coconut Oil or Be Natural Dry Heel Eliminaton.
It can really make a difference if you leave a cream on overnight with socks a few times a week
